I used to be in your shoes. Mini-sessions that didn't book, giveaways with only one entry, dressing my dog up because I had no models...Feeling isolated in the photography industry and like I had to do what everyone else was doing or I would fail.
 

I REMEMBER THOSE FEELINGS. Staying up late after the kids went to bed, consuming all of the education I could or working in-between nap times. Seeing a fruitful vision of the future and feeling like I was being told to step out and take a leap of faith. Being nervous about the investment, and questioning if I was doing the right thing during every pivot or life transition.

 

 

 

 

  • 2009-2010 NEWBIE

    Mastered the art of saturation, extreme angles, and took pictures of my dogs and everyone I knew with a Canon Rebel T1i. Found creepy people on Craigslist to photograph and thankfully can look back because I am alive and didn't get kidnapped.

  • 2011-2012 AUNT ASH

    Finished my MBA, got married, moved to Nashville, started my "Photo Hobby" business, and moved back to Breckenridge, CO. Snaked pictures at all my friend's weddings to build my portfolio and worked 60 hours a week in the corporate world as a banking officer.

  • 2013 MINI SESH PRO

    Got fired for refusing to act unethical (a painful time God used for good), opened my LEGIT photography business, moved to my hometown (Fort Collins, CO), and tried to entice everyone and their roommates to book my $50 Halloween mini-sessions. Charged $350 for normal sessions and made around 10K my first year.

  • 2014 LOVE TOG

    Booked 10 weddings and 25 sessions. Shot weddings 36 weeks pregnant and 4 weeks postpartum. Took my 6 week old to Mexico for a destination wedding. Made 4x what I did my previous year. Achieved a "full-time" salary and LOVED every second of it.

  • 2015 HUSTLER BABY

    Booked 30 weddings, 75 sessions, brought on a videographer and wedding associates. Traveled to Europe + Costa Rica with my 1 year old, heavily branded myself as a "mountain wedding photographer," and got freaking tired. Doubled my income from the prior year.

  • 2016 LOVED THE SCALE

    Significantly raised prices (while scared), booked around 13 weddings and 50 sessions. Dove into a senior rep program, started IPS, had my 2nd daughter, and made even more money than the previous year, but shot around 15 less weddings and 25 less sessions.  

  • 2017 DREAM BUSINESS

    Raised prices again. Booked 11 weddings and around 50 sessions. Full into IPS, took 2nd daughter to Germany during the Fall season without concern, had a flourishing senior rep program. Made more money than the year before and decided I wanted to drop weddings because my life was changing with a growing family.

  • 2018 CLAIMED FREEDOM

    Booked $43K in 15 days, had 27 seniors reps among other numerous clients. Only worked 7 months that year at an average of 2 days a week. Had our 3rd baby, retired from the local industry, and booked $20K in photography coaching clients 2 weeks after having our baby.

"I started Stacey Toney Photography in 2018 predominately on a shoot-and-burn model. Local people were really excited, and the buzz around a new business in the area ran by a generally respected local resident lasted about 3 months. Q: Can you guarantee I will be successful?

A: My greatest desire and my heart of hearts is for you to kill it in your business. But, I really can't guarantee that you will make it. I wish I could - but, if you trust my processes, follow my systems, and work your butt off - there is NO REASON why you won't be successful. At the end of the day, there is no replacement for hard-work. This is a season of planting so you can BLOOM. This is an intensive course for serious photographers looking to make a serious change. It takes courage though - and it takes times. There is no quick fix, but if you're looking to stay in the industry long-term, this will absolutely transform your life.

How long does the self-guided course take?

A: If you are dedicated to the process, the course will take about 2-3 months to complete if you are following the prompts and consecutively dedicated to working through the course. 

Q: What type of photographer is this course for?

A: Wedding + Portrait photographers - this course is your jam. This was designed for you. At the end of the day, the core is the same for any type of photography business. I make several references to both the wedding and portrait industries, so you will absolutely benefit no matter what type of photography you specialize in. I also have clients in several different niches including newborn, boudoir, wildlife, landscape, underwater photography, family, senior, wedding, branding, engagement, couples, western, etc. 

Q: I can't afford it - I have other debt and expenses to worry about.

A: Hey, I get it. I am the queen of DIY and being resourceful. But as I got busier in my life, investing in education so I could have quick and strategic results was the best pay (and time!) raise I ever got. This course will pay for itself if you apply the principles correctly with 1-2 sales. The real question is - can you afford NOT to change your business? Literally, if you keep operating like you have been, you will lose way more money in the short term and long term. Q: Do you offer refunds? 

A: I don't. My stuff is great - I'm teaching you everything I know about business (which is from legit hard-earned experience and a formal Masters in Business Administration education).
